![]() The water cooling tank at the Democritos Nuclear Center that Fred designed and which allowed water radioactivity to decay before the cooling water was fed back to the reactor. It was able to maintain water temperature constant to within 0.001 degrees Centegrade. Completion of this tank in 1964 allowed the Democritos reactor tor the first time to attain full power operation. |
